Medical marijuana patients are by nature people who just want to be left alone.
Many bona fide patients must struggle each day with terrible physical challenges,
yet these sick and disabled people must also cope with a more frightening foe - their own
government.

The fact remains that war is being waged against sick, disabled and dying medical
marijuana patients. Ambitious district attorneys have joined forces with predatory
narcotics officers and socially conservative judges to make war against anyone who is
involved with cannabis, even if it’s saving their life.

The simple truth is that the war against pot is a cultural war, in which total
annihilation of an entire cannabis culture is the ultimate goal.

We must all recognized that the cultural war against pot and those who use it, is a
cynical and organized effort to use cannabis consumers as scapegoats to take the blame for
all of the miserable failures in society.

It’s time to tell the world that people who consume cannabis are not the problem. It’s the
complete failure of government to honestly or realistically do its job that is to blame.

Those who argue that we must meekly accept the authority of the police and learn to live
with them are advocating a position that will only endanger all of us. No one has the
right to barter away the rights of others, especially if it is done to enhance their own
profit and power. Anyone who advocates cutting a deal with
government sponsored terrorists is naive and a threat to all of us. That may sound harsh,
but it is the nature of terrorism that as soon as you give and inch, they want it all.

The district attorneys, police and judges, who are engaged in this cultural war against
medical marijuana, have demonstrated that they will lie, steal, threaten, persecute, gag,
and if necessary murder folks like Peter McWilliams.

Anyone who has watched innocent patient dragged into court as “criminals,” has
seen with their own eyes how corrupt, perverted, and destructive the entire criminal
justice system has become.

How could anyone in their right mind, advocate appeasing such a criminal and dishonest
gang of thugs? Unfortunately, there are always those who want to engage in a beg-a-thon to
barter away our rights with some phony promise of security, but such actions do nothing to
advance their cause.

Those who rely on medical cannabis already have the support of the voters and the juries.
That is the basis upon which the rights of sick people must advance. Medical marijuana
patients already have the support of the people, why should they grovel to government
bullies and tyrants who want to tell us how we should live and what plants we can use for
medicine.

As a result of this phony war on pot, police and prosecutors have become some of the
dumbest and most vicious predators in society. These thugs are dangerously misinformed and
do not hesitate to abuse their power. It isn’t the Compassionate Use Act that is broken,
its the entire criminal justice system that is broken beyond repair.

Each brave act of defying government terrorism, by patients who demand jury trials and who
refuse to cooperate, advances the cause for all of us. It is only because of defiance that
the police and prosecutors have been forced into supporting the hated Vasconcellos bill,
and it is only acts of defiance that these goons can comprehend. Each self-appointed
appeaser who advocates cutting deals with rogue police and prosecutors harms all of us and
dishonors the courageous acts of other defendants.

Bottom line, freedom isn’t something that is handed to you, it is something you must
assert. Our rights have already been granted to us by the voters.

In addition, we’ve already shown that the juries won’t convict patients; even
patients who are selling to other patients are being acquitted. Now, the appeasers go
behind our backs and attempt to barter away those bravely won victories.

To those who continue to advocate cooperation with tyranny, may your chains rest lightly
upon you. To those who are prepared to carry on, we offer the following battle cry,
“Never give up, never surrender!”
